Today Sunday School is still the largest ministry outside of Sunday morning worship. In the Assemblies of God alone over 1 million children, youth, and adults attend Sunday School every week. Throughout the USA, about 66 million attend Sunday School in all churches. Yet, Sunday School has not grown the Assemblies of God since 1984. We believe God wants to transform people's lives through the study and application of His Word and mobilize the millions who attend Sunday School. If Sunday School is, as some have stated, like a sleeping giant, it's time to wake up!
The Sunday School Department has a great deal to offer those seeking a deeper walk with the Lord. Our teachers are deeply committed to sharing the Word of God. Our curriculum is Bible-based and relevant for today. We have eleven classes from which to choose as well as a Bible Quiz team, Berean University studies, and a group of intercessors which meet during the Sunday School time. Because of the smaller, more intimate setting of a Sunday School class, it is the perfect time to meet others. We welcome newcomers to be a part of First Assembly's Sunday School. |
