Welcome to Women's Ministry at Augusta's First Assembly of God. For short, we call ourselves WM's.
Since its beginnings in 1925, Women’s Ministries has evolved into a vital and powerful ministry which involves every woman in the local church. Women’s Ministries is women ministering in the choir or the church nursery, teaching a Bible study, holding prayer meetings, directing a mother’s day out program, organizing Event Evangelism outreaches, or directing mission projects. Ministry Groups may be as varied as women’s imaginations and the call God places on each individual heart. Women’s Ministries is women ministering. The more women involved, the more will be accomplished for the glory of God. Through Women’s Ministries, every woman will find a place of ministry and every woman will be ministered to according to her need.
Our group meets on Tuesday at 10:00 am. On the first and third Tuesday, our service includes a message from a member of our group or a guest speaker. Since prayer must always be a priority of our Women's Ministries, the second Tuesday of each month is devoted to intercessory prayer. On the fourth Tuesday, we join with the local Aglow Chapter for their service.
Missions has been a main purpose of Women's Ministries since it's formation and our group supports missions wholeheartedly.
There are luncheons, bus trips, an annual auction and other activities. A cordial invitation is extended to all our ladies and guests to join us on Tuesday morning. |
